Abstract

A method for promoting neurite outgrowth is provided by the invention, and the method comprises exposing the neurons to an effective amount of an immunomodulatory protein derived from Ganoderma, or a recombinant or a composition thereof. A method for treating and/or preventing a neurological disorder is also provided, and the method comprises administering an effective amount of an immunomodulatory protein derived from Ganoderma, or a recombinant or a composition thereof to a subject.
